var userName = id.toUpperCase() + '#' + lastName.toUpperCase();

3,491 PointsYep thats one way or I ended up breaking it down by doing:
userName += "#"; userName += lastName.toUpperCase();

23,118 PointsThe object of this challenge is to know how to concatenate variables and strings together to create a new variable. Antoine's example is generally considered best practice, and should be used for this challenge. There are other ways to achieve the same goal, but in this case, Antoine's is the best answer.
