why my code is not working

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white" sundaes = available.split(';') menu = "Our available flavors are:{}" display_menu = ', '.join(sundaes) menu = "Our available flavors are:{}".format(",".join(display_menu))

in the last line, the argument for the format method just needs to be the string display_menu, you don't need to join again. the way you have it with the second join, it is putting commas between each letter.

You've already used the join to create a string display_menu so when you're using the .format() operation all you need to do is pass in that string and it will insert it where the placeholder is.
