Why nav has not a width?

Hello! I have seen how Nick set a "width:100%;" to the "Header" element. My question is: Why don´t we do the same with the "nav" element?

Many thanks in advance!

The nav element is nested inside the header element as it's child therefore it maintains the rules applied to it :)

Nav is a block element and it inherits the width from it's parent unless manually changed.
