Why not every web use https as standard? If it more secure because it is encrypted

From my understanding not all hosting providers offer it because what is known as "virtual hosts" is the most common and cheapest hosting option. Virtual hosts allow one server to host multiple websites from one IP address. At present this setup doesn't work with HTTPS. Additionally, there are other factors that make HTTPS cost more.

There is a high cost for secure certificates and most of the time HTTPS does not all your browser to cache. Also if every website was ran with the HTTPS protocol the web overall would be slower. The reasoning behind this is that there are sites all over the Web that have no need to encrypt their files. If you never log in there’s nothing to protect.
