why the code doesn't work with upper or lowercase

I copied the teacher's code it works fine if I write the name like this, Jody. But if I search for a name in uppercase or lowercase it doesn't work. I tried to fix it but I couldn't. How can I make it work?

var message = '';
var student;
var search;

function print(message) {
  var outputDiv = document.getElementById('output');
  outputDiv.innerHTML = message;
}

function getStudentReport (student) {
  var report = '<h2>Student: ' + student.name + '</h2>';
  report += '<p>Track: ' + student.track + '</p>';
  report += '<p>Points: ' + student.points + '</p>';
  report += '<p>Achievements: ' + student.achievements + '</p>';
  return report;
}

while (true) {
  search = prompt("search student records: Type a name [Jody] (or type 'quit' to end)");
  if (search === null || search.toLowerCase() === 'quit'){
    break;
  }
  for (var i = 0; i < students.length; i += 1) {
    student = students[i];
    if (student.name === search){
       message = getStudentReport( student);
      print(message);
    }
  }
}

You are converting the prompted input toLowerCase when comparing to quit but will also need it in your other if statement. Also, think about what you are comparing that prompt to when you address that. The student name that you are searching for will need to be converted as well as the prompted input. I think that's why you are only finding "Jody". All caps or all lowercase will not equal "Jody" until you convert that name to lowercase as well.
