JavaScript JavaScript Loops, Arrays and Objects Simplify Repetitive Tasks with Loops A Closer Look At Loop Conditions

Will someone help guide me through this exercise?

I started with Javascript basics. It was easy. Now I am partaking in the loops and arrays section and it is blowing my mind.

Here is the exercise:

The code in app.js just opens a prompt, asks for a password, and writes to the document. Something is missing. Add a while loop, so that a prompt keeps appearing until the user types "sesame" into the prompt.

So here is what app.js looks like so far

var secret = prompt("What is the secret password")

document.write("You know the password")

I am supposed to create a "while" loop

This is what I produced so far:

while (secret !== "sesame") {

}

And now I am puzzled.

app.js
var secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");

while (secret !== "sesame") {
  prompt("What is the secret password?");
}

document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

the anwser is :

var secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
while ( secret !== "sesame" ) {
  secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
}
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

you forgot to assign the prompt question to the variable secret in the loop, so the condition can verify if the input of the user is equal to sesame or not
