Workspace - typing in the exact same javascript as the video yields only a blank page; it is not reading my script.

I am typing in javascript, (and yes, I save the scripts.js file), but it does not appear when I click the preview icon.

Does your code look like this?

var myName = "Travis";

If so and it is not showing up, you may have some type of pop-up blocker enabled.

Also, if you want the code in the challenge to appear, try adding an alert or other print command.

EX:

var myName = "Travis"; alert(myName);
