Wouldn't it make more sense to only accept Student?

In the video, the override methods both accept an object then perform obj as Student to check if it's actually a student that was passed in. Is this for the examples purposes, or is there a specific reason we wouldn't just take a type of Student in the parameters?

An override must match the "signature" of the virtual method it is overriding. And in this case, the signature of the original method includes having an "object" parameter.
