you are very close to the correct answer, but it should be

<!DOCTYPE html>

which is the HTML5 doctype declaration

Gracias! Accidentally left it off when I coded along with instructor too.

I coded mine in that way and it still will not let me pass it ask me to make sure I define the html tag.
