You are changing the value of the original temperature by doing:

temperature = Math.round (temperature);

So, you are actually trying to do Math.floor(38) but it should be Math.floor(37.5) Instead the answer is simply:

alert(Math.round(temperature));
alert(Math.floor(temperature));
