"Wrong number of prints"?

OK as this point I'm not sure what may be wrong. Any takers?

even.py 
import random
start=5

def even_odd(num):
    num= random.randint(1, 99) 
    # If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
    # Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
    return not num % 2


while start is True:
    if even_odd(num) == False:
        print("{} is even".format(num))
    else:
        print("{} is odd".format(num))
    start-=1

This is just a guess when looking at the code, but in the while loop you check if start is True. However you have it initialized as an int and take one away within the loop. It doesn't look like the loop would ever end.

Once it decrements down to "0" wouldn't it end because "0" is false?
