You've got the $.get() method and first argument in place. The second argument to the $.get() method is a callback funct

I can't seem to pass this stage. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Please need some help. Thank you.

you added another line with the same function call as the first. 

$.get("footer.html");
$.get("footer.html", function(response){});

you need to add the anonymous function to the first line and remove the second line. This is what your answer should look like:

$.get("footer.html",  function(response){});
