'NoneType' object has no attribute 'group'

help! not too sure why this isn't running

escapes.py 
import re

def first_number(string):
    return(re.search(r'\d ', string))

print(first_number)

Remove the space after the \d. That means that you're expecting a single number followed by a space and it'll try to search for exactly that from the string.
