Am I Job Guaranteed after Techdegree?

Do companies actually hire students who got the Techdegree certificate even without a diploma from a university?

I'm not aware of a job guarantee, I'm not even sure how one could keep that promise. But I also know in most cases with most employers, a diploma isn't are requirement. Most employers only care what you know, and what you can do. Where you learned, really isn't a factor in most job openings.

I think a Techdegree would lay a good foundation to get a job, but it won't be the reason you get a job, if that makes sense. If you can afford it, I think I'd do it.

Hi Eunice Erika Am-is,

There is never a guarantee, even with a diploma from a university. Because the diploma or certificate is not what they are going to look at.

I completed a Techdegree, I landed a job 1 month later at a company listing a degree in computer science as a requirement. They never asked about my certificate, they asked about my projects I had created during the Techdegree. So if you go through it working really hard on your projects and help your peers you will increase your chances by a lot. If you just speed through it and spend as little time you can on your projects just to complete them fast, you will lower your chances.

I would really recommend doing a Techdegree, based on my own experience.

I hope that helps, Jonas

Thank you so much!

Hi Eunice Erika Am-is

Because we have students throughout the world, and job markets are very different from city to city, and country to country, we cannot provide a job guarantee as part of the Techdegree. However, we do include many resources to help you search for a job:

While we can't guarantee a job, many Techdegree graduates have been able to find work using these resources, the skills they learned in the program, and the portfolio of projects they created as part of the Techdegree.

Every video after "A resume-building course" gave me the error: "Bummer! You don't have access to this instruction."

Why? Are they only for Techdegrees?

Yes @watermelon8 these are for Techdegree students.

Thanks you for the replies.
