Treehouse Project ReviewerAnd i thought i don't understand the 1st question... ...till i saw the 2nd one
now for me the next logical step it would be:
honeypot = forms.CharField(widget=forms.HiddenInput, required=False, validators=[not_treehouse("@teamtreehouse.com")])
yet it's not working. even without the argument
so what i miss again :((
from django import forms
def not_treehouse(value):
if value.lower().endswith("@teamtreehouse.com"):
raise forms.ValidationError('Bad bot')
class LeadShareForm(forms.Form):
email = forms.EmailField()
link = forms.URLField()
honeypot = forms.CharField(widget=forms.HiddenInput, required=False, validators=[not_treehouse])
def clean_honeypot(self):
honey = self.cleaned_data['honeypot']
if len(honey):
raise forms.ValidationError('Bad robot!')
return honey

You are validating the wrong field. Add the validation to the email field, and also import validators. That should pass the challenge.
this worked for me.
from django import forms
from django.core import validators
def not_treehouse(value):
if value.lower().endswith("@teamtreehouse.com"):
raise forms.ValidationError("cant be a member of team!")
class LeadShareForm(forms.Form):
email = forms.EmailField(validators=[not_treehouse])
link = forms.URLField()
honeypot = forms.CharField(widget=forms.HiddenInput, required=False)
def clean_honeypot(self):
honey = self.cleaned_data['honeypot']
if len(honey):
raise forms.ValidationError('Bad robot!')
return honey
