Argument of type method is not iterable? Can you give me any hints on what I am missing here?

I feel like the code should work. What am I missing? self?

first_class.py

    name = "Your Name"

    def praise(self):
        return "You inspire me, {}".format(self.name)

    def reassurance(self):
        return "Chin up, {}. You'll get it next time!".format(self.name)

    def feedback(self, grade):
        if grade > 50:
            return self.praise

            return self.reassurance

you are forgetting the () for return self.praise() and return self.reassurance()

Because of the way challenges are evaluated, sometimes the relevance of the error message isn't obvious. But as Youssef pointed out, whenever you call a method you must put a pair of parentheses after the method name. Otherwise, you are returning a reference to the method itself but the challenge is expecting to see the results of the method.

omg thanks. I definitely forgot they are methods because I'm not used to returning methods within methods. More used to the way of instantiating new objects and calling it from there.
