Python Introducing Tuples Getting to Know Tuples Creating Tuples

Assigning variables to tuples.

To be fully honest, I am not quite sure what this question is even asking me. Any ideas??

creating_tuples.py
item3 = 'item3'
my_tuple = ('I', 'love', item3)

#item3 = 'hmmm'
#my_tuple[2] = item3

1 Answer

I think the original question was: Create a variable called item3 and assign to it the third element in my_tuple.

In this example,

 my_tuple = ('I', 'love', 'python')
 item3 = my_tuple[2]

if you print item3:

 print(item3)

The output will be a string:

'python'

I realized that the question was actually asking just after I posted this question and felt like a dunce.
