General Discussion

Beginner having difficulty figuring out where to start!

Ive just signed back up to team treehouse. I was in the process of taking the front end web development track. I was on this site 4 months ago and the program said it would take me over 450+ hours to complete. It is now saying 49 hours to complete the course? Team treehouse have updated their website and now its confusing to me. When I compare the front end web development course in the "HOME" button vs "TRACKS" button on the top, both of the course/cirriculum are different!

Hi Cheng.

In order to keep the content up to date the Treehouse Team do regular refreshes of the content and is always adding new content to the library. This does of course mean changing the pathways of the Tracks from time to time. This is the same if you're in the middle of a track or if it has been completed.

Usually, when a Track is updated you're given the chance to review the proposed changes to the Track and then choose if if you want to keep the proposed changes or stay with the current track.

If you're signed up to a Track, this next few stages of that track will show up in the home screen. If you're not currently active in a track, the last course or workshop you have taken will show up in the Home Screen so I suspect that's what you're seeing and it might also account for the major changes in approximate time remaining on the track.
