General Discussion

Best language for hobby game development.

Hi,

I want to introduce a family member to the coding world. I thought building small to medium sized games might be good fun.

So what languages are best for such a purpose? My knowledge on other languages is limited. I read that C#, JavaScript and a few others are good for small to large games. I thought for a beginner, a language that is fast and nice to learn.

What is your advice?

Thanks ;)

Javascript if you want to be able to play it in the browser.

C# otherwise.
