I have typed everything that I think was meant to make this work. I am sure it might be the silliest of errors, but can find it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Separate the two sets of values with a comma:

.main-header{
  box-shadow: 0 2px 15px #aaa, inset 0 0 60px 5px firebrick;
}

That should do it for you.

Steve.

Thanks Steve. Silly me.

I sat and stared at that for a while until the penny dropped!!

Having two box-shadow rules like you do, you inset rule is overriding your regular box shadow, so you're only getting the one. Move them both to the same rule, comma separated like Steve pointed out.

Thanks Kevin.
