11,236 Pointslaps does not have to be a keyword / argument when creating an instance of the RaceCar. you can simply set the laps under the init to 0.
If you set the self.laps outside of the init then it becomes a class variable that will be changed whenever class.laps is changed. thus all following instances created after this will have a different laps attribute.

self.laps = 0
