Can not get Skill Check to accept Gradient code.

I am stuck on the 2nd step on the Gradient Skill Check. It keeps asking me to use a background-image propert, which I think I am. Please help!

.main-header {
  background: blue;
  background-image: linear-gradient(#000, #fff);
}

thanks!

Hi William,

The challenge wants you to take a step by step approach to the problem.

When you did task one, all you needed to do was write your selector

.main-header {
}

By the time you get to task 2 all you need is the background-image css property along with it's value, with no parameters passed in.

.main-header {
background-image: linear-gradient();
}

The challenges can be very unforgiving it, so only give it the answers it specifically asks for. :-) good luck!

This was very helpful! I misunderstood the first question which kept causing me to get the second one wrong.
