JavaScript JavaScript Array Iteration Methods Array Manipulation Practice filter()

century20.push isn't a function

I am running this

const years = [1989, 2015, 2000, 1999, 2013, 1973, 2012];
let century20;

// century20 should be: [1989, 2000, 1999, 1973]
// Write your code below
years.filter(filYrs => {
  century20 = filYrs => 2000
  century20.push(filYrs);
});

while I get century20 isn't a function, I assum it is because .push apply to array but in the challenge century20 isn't a array and If I modify to make it empty array, it give me error again.

app.js
const years = [1989, 2015, 2000, 1999, 2013, 1973, 2012];
let century20;

// century20 should be: [1989, 2000, 1999, 1973]
// Write your code below
years.filter(filYrs => {
  century20 = filYrs => 2000
  century20.push(filYrs);
});

You should assign the variable to the result of the filter:

century20 = years.filter( /* your filter function */ );

The function just needs to determine which items to include.
