Challenge Task 4 of 5 Create a new rule that targets the span element inside .intro.

I have tried everything. It's not working. I tried .intro span{ css inside of it}.

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lake Tahoe</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="page.css">
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
  </head>
  <body>
    <header id="top" class="main-header">
      <span class="title">Journey Through the Sierra Nevada Mountains</span>
      <h1>Lake Tahoe, California</h1>
    </header>
    <div class="primary-content t-border">
      <p class="intro">
        Lake Tahoe is one of the most <span>breathtaking attractions</span> located in California. It's home to a number of ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a significant part of the area's reputation.
      </p>
      <a href="#more">Find out more</a>
    </div>
    <footer class="main-footer">
      <p>All rights reserved to the state of <a href="#">California</a>.</p>
      <a href="#top">Back to top &raquo;</a>

Hi Abdullah,

You need to create separate classes of intro, one for intro class and another for intro span, see below for example

/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */
.intro{
  font-size: 16px;
  font-size: 1.25em;
  line-height: 1.6;
}

.intro span {
  font-weight: bold;
  font-style: italic;
}

Hope that helps.

Hi, there I'm setting my font-weight: bold; this code is not working as it's giving me an error code don't know why anybody can tell me what i'm doing wrong please.

my code:

.intro { font-size: 16px; font-size: 1.25em; line-height: 1.6; }

.intro span { font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; }

Hi Beau,

I can tell your codes are absolutely correct. Perhaps you can refresh it and then try again to see if that errors are still there.

you're almost there... add this to your html file... You're trying to style a class that doesn't exist in your html document and that's why it's coming up failed... in the real world, the browser probably wouldn't care...

span class="intro"

p.s. I'm doing an endzone dance right now cuz I'm new to this and I was actually able to figure this out and help someone... 44 y/o and I can still learn
