Python Web Development Techdegree Student 6,118 Points@classmethod is not working and there is not enough debug information beyond "Bummer!" to help solve the issue.
I'm not clear why my code isn't working as I am not able to get any type of debugging information. What pattern isn't returning right?
class Letter:
def __init__(self, pattern=None):
self.pattern = pattern
def __iter__(self):
yield from self.pattern
def __str__(self):
output = []
for blip in self:
if blip == '.':
output.append('dot')
else:
output.append('dash')
return '-'.join(output)
@classmethod
def from_string(cls, input_string):
hold_string = input_string.split('-')
output = []
for string in hold_string:
if string == "dash":
output.append('-')
else:
output.append('.')
return cls(output)
class S(Letter):
def __init__(self):
pattern = ['.', '.', '.']
super().__init__(pattern)

output.append('-')
output.append('_')
