You got the wrong syntax the links should be placed inside the li tags :)

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lists and Links</title>
  </head>
  <body>
  <ul>
    <li><a href="cakes.html">Cakes</a></li>
    <li><a href="pies.html">Pies</a></li>
    <li><a href="candy.html">Candy</a></li>
  </ul>
  </body>
</html>

Hi nevo U need to put the >anchor tags inside opening and closing tags like this

<ul>
<li><a href="cakes.html"cakes </a></li>
</ul>

And the rest like that. Hope that helps

In general in code world. When something doesn't work 99% of the times you do something wrong and only 1% is because of a "bug" :)

You have this validator: https://validator.w3.org/#validate_by_input

In your case you will get this error:

Error: Element a not allowed as child of element ul in this context. (Suppressing further errors from this subtree.)

Thank you everybody :) appreciate your help!
