10,266 PointsCode challenge not passing although it works in workspaces
Hi everyone,
I am working on this code challenge (construction-zone in OOP python) however I can't see why it fails. In the workspace it seems to be working fine. Maybe there is something I am missing.
Thank you :)
class Letter:
def __init__(self, pattern=None):
self.pattern = pattern
def __iter__(self):
yield from self.pattern
def __str__(self):
output = []
for blip in self:
if blip == '.':
output.append('dot')
else:
output.append('dash')
return '-'.join(output)
@classmethod
def from_string(cls, strings):
normal_patterns = []
for overt_pattern in strings.split('-'):
normal_patterns.append('.' if overt_pattern == 'dot' else '-')
return cls(normal_patterns)
class S(Letter):
def __init__(self):
pattern = ['.', '.', '.']
super().__init__(pattern)

54,971 PointsYour else
is appending a hyphen instead of an underscore to normal_patterns
. Other than that it should pass (but doesn't) unless I'm missing something too.

54,971 PointsWeird. I copy/pasted and tried again (with an underscore) and it passed.

10,266 PointsYou're right. I really did not see that it should be an underscore and not an actual dash like it says. Really confusing. Thank you! It passed now!
