Code Challenge Question on "Using Lists".

I'm stuck in the second task of this code challenge. The second task asks us to only print out continents starting with the letter "A". I can't figure it out. Help Please!

I should I proceed from here?

continents = ["Asia", "South America", "North America", "Africa", "Europe", "Antarctica", "Australia"] print("Continents:") for continent in continents: print("* " + continent)

continents.py
continents = ['Asia', 'South America', 'North America','Europe', 'Africa', 'Antarctica', 'Australia']
# Your code here
print("Continents:")
for continent in continents:
    print("* " + continent)

Inside your loop, you could add an "if" statement to control when to execute the "print". Your "if" statement can compare the first letter of the continent name to the letter "A" using an equality comparison ("==").

You can get a single letter from a string using an index (a number in brackets), and the value 0 (zero) would select the first one.

continents = ["Asia", "South America", "North America", "Africa", "Europe", "Antarctica", "Australia"] print("Continents:") for continent in continents: if continent[0] == "A": print("* " + continent)

It now works!

Thanks, man!
