Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java Strings, Variables, and Formatting

compiler not run

whenever write the code do not run although it is right it is the same syntax of the explained code

Name.java
// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console
//import java.io.console;
public class car{
  public static void main(String[] args)
  {
    Console console = System.console();
  String firstname = "esty";
    console.printf("my name is %s\n", firstname);

  }}

You shouldn't need to setup your own Console object- treehouse already has that taken care of behind the scenes. I'm thinking all you need to write is:

String firstName = "esty"; // notice that I performed camel case on your variable name.
console.printf("my name is %s", firstName); // I removed your new line character also- it wasn't needed here.

This is what is needed to pass the challenge:

// this is the entire code that you need to write- it isn't asking you to write the entire program.
String firstName = "Some Name";
console.printf("%s can code in Java!", firstName);
