is there something I am doing wrong

Your code is perfect, just remove the + assignment operator and period from msg variable.

Here's the final code: 

let firstName = "Yushae";
let lastName = "DeSilva-Andrade";

const msg = firstName + " "+ lastName + ": " + role;
