console printf

for some reason its not working. I have tried all the methods.

IO.java 
// I have imported java.io.Console for you.  It is a variable called console.
String firstName=console.readLine("Mamadou");
String lastName=console.readLine("Diene");
console printf("First name:Mamadou");

hi your

console printf("First name:Mamadou")

line needs to have a full stop (or period) between console and printf, also the challenge requires you to use the %s and add the variable in. it should look a bit like this.

console.printf("First name: %s", firstName);
