console.printf("#s", firstName); I can't figure out why this is wrong

It is asking me to print out the first name and this is what the tutorial did but it will not work for me.

IO.java 
// I have imported java.io.Console for you.  It is a variable called console.
String firstName = console.readLine("Sam");
String lastName = console.readLine("Blaha");
console.printf("#s", firstName);

My Java is a little rusty, but I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be %s rather than #s in your string.
