Cookies, Privacy Polices, GRDP ?

Hi,

I am looking at building my own website, where I would potentially use Google Analytics and have a news letter or signup form. I've noticed that most websites have Terms and Agreements, Privacy Policies, Cookie Policies etc. So I'm just curious what kind of legal requirements there are when building a website. Treehouse doesn't really have any resources in regards to that.

Most of my web programming has been self taught and it feels like covering yourself legally isn't covered in most online resources that teach you how to build websites. Could someone give me some insight on what the legal requirements of collecting and dealing with data from users is?

Thanks, Mac

I'm sorry bud but I think contacting a lawyer is your best option since these are some tough legal questions you are asking. Try to search for more information.
