54,972 PointsThe instructions ask you to use a descendant selector. You have used a class. There is no need to modify the html unless the challenge asks you to do so.

Front End Web Development Techdegree Graduate 13,005 PointsYou don't have to change the HTML or give the span a class. Remember, you can select an element in CSS by simply calling the element in your CSS file. To target the <span> ele inside of the <header> you just do:
header span {font-size: 16px;}
