Python Regular Expressions in Python Introduction to Regular Expressions Email Groups

Create a new variable named contacts that is an re.search() where the pattern catches the email address and phone number

You are very close! There are two errors to fix:

  • The beginning of line (^) and end of line ($) anchors force the pattern to match the entire line. In this case, the target is within the line. :point_right: remove the ^ and $
  • The pattern does not consume the comma-space found between the named fields preventing a match. :point_right: add a ,\s between the patterns
