Creating my own extension for the new Firefox Quantum

I'd like to create my own extension for the new Firefox Quantum that makes the tabs rounded like they used to be. Learning how to code it isn't the issue. What I'm wondering is, does anyone know if it's actually possible to edit the look of the tabs with an extension? Thanks in advance! :)

A quick look around revealed two key things that hopefully when combined will result in your venture being successful.

Since Firefox 57+, the only way to customize your browser UI is through userChrome.css
