Deciding on Text Editor for home computer

The Treehouse videos mention Sublime, Brackets, Visual Studio Code and Atom as some potential Text Editors that can be used locally on my own computer. What are the major differences between them and do you have any tips on how to choose which one may be preferred? Any insight would be appreciated!

Just try them all and see what you like. Everyone have their own opinion, also check out pycharm/intelij/webstorm, they're a little more robust but offer some pretty useful features.
