Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java Strings, Variables, and Formatting

defining a string variable after an object was created.

Hello. I'm doing a lot of guess work. I can't see the code used to create an object named "console" and need to define a string variable called firstName to equal my name. I feel that...

string firstName = "Chris";

...and I know how to define this with in a class but am not certain once an object has been created. Thanks!

Name.java
// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console

public console(string firstName) {
firstName = "Chris"
