here is my code i dont get why is giving me that error

56,413 PointsPutting the variables inside the parentheses of the readLine call prints them out as part of the prompt but doesn't change them. You need to assign the responses to readLine() to the variables like this.
firstName = console.readLine("What is your first name? ");
What you were doing is more appropriate when printing out the prompt with what we've already input like this:
lastName = console.readLine("Hi, %s! What is your last name? ", firstName);
