Treehouse TeacherOk there's two things going on here. You have one mistake, and then I think there's something going on that should possibly reported as a bug. But challenges are just notoriously very picky. Number one, when you do the readLine you're passing in an empty string instead of accepting what the user puts in. But even if we fix that, it still doesn't pass. And I looked at this and looked at this. If I change the order that the lines are read in, it passes. For instance, yours reads in last name first then first name. But if I switch that order, it all of a sudden passes! Take a look:
String firstName=console.readLine();
String lastName=console.readLine();
console.printf("First name:%s\n", firstName);
I had sort of thought it might be the new line causing it to fail. But it still passes even with the new line character in the string. Hope this helps!
