Display: none; dosnt work with my workspace preview

ive uploaded a new work space as suggested by the browser and the first task is to set the .wildlife display to none

.wildlife { color: white; background-color: #434a52; padding: 18% 24%; border-top: 10px solid #ffa949; margin: 105px 0 60px; display: none; }

on my preview the element still appears whereas Guils has gone completely

Yours should be gone as well. Did you save your changes (with the shortcut or menu) and then refresh your browser? If so, perhaps there's some other issue preventing the CSS from being read by the browser.

hi thanks for getting back to me after a couple of attempts i quit everything and then started the task afresh and it worked for some reason. still not sure why as my code was identical but nonetheless thanks so much for helping out  ?

Until you get into the habit, it's easy to omit the save and/or refresh to update the preview.

ahh thanks mate its all the little things like that can cause the biggest problems :) i can see you've been on here doing development a while with them points you've got! just wandering if you had any thoughts on a question i put up earlier, not had any replies and its something i've been scratching my head at the last few days ￬

So i've been working 6-8 hours a day trying to get myself up to speed as fast as I can on the front end development tracks and through You-Tube i've found that people with little coding experience are making money freelancing through worksites such as Upwork. When is the best time in peoples experience to start learning this CMS format. Do I need to complete all the front end first along with some php and photoshop or is Wordpress something I can skip to now and whilst making money like described above, and whilst earning money continue along the front end tracks here at treehouse? I'm Asking because in time i would like to be either a freelancer or get myself into a company front end but i want to produce high quality work what ever the outcome (i.e. i don't want to start Wordpress earlier than i should and produce something that i shouldn't be taking money for but if it is something i can start doing now to support my learning then I may as well jump on the bandwagon...) so any guidance from some more experienced coders out there would be highly appreciated, thanks in advance!

I left that question for some more experienced Wordpresser(s), since my own exposure to Wordpress is quite minimal. I also haven't done freelance for over a decade so I'm not a good source of info about that. I'm sure the current job market bears little resemblance to what is was like back then.

My advice would be look into what potential clients are asking for. If they tend to want Wordpress, that would be a compelling reason to become competent with it.
