Don't see the reasoning to hide the backface-visibilty for side-b if we are rotating it back 180deg simultaneously

I'm assuming it is for good practice in the future since im finding myself question treehouse as a student, but what is the true reasoning for hiding the backface of side-b if we developers never give the User the opportunity to view side-b's backface backwards???

The point is to simulate it being printed on something opaque, so when it is not facing the user, it can't be seen.
