Error in Java Tester?

I keep getting this error in the editor when trying to submit.

JavaTester.java:77: error: unreported exception IOException; must be caught or declared to be thrown Main.main(null);

As you can see its from the JavaTester which I can't get to. It runs just fine in the IDE. what is wrong?

  a. The prompter class has a new method that prompts for the story template, and that method is called.

2.  The user is then prompted for each word that has been double underscored.

   a. The answer is checked to see if it is contained in the censored words.
      User is continually prompted until they enter a valid word

3.  The user is presented with the completed story

Kurt,

You are really close to hammering this out. However, there are a couple of things I see from looking over your code you will need to address. I will provide you with some hints to get you there.

The first problem is that you should not be throwing an exception from main method. The exception that is being thrown is when you call prompter.getTemplate(). Therefore, you need to surround that with a try/catch instead. Just remember that the String story will be out of scope inside the try so you will need to initialize String story first. Pseudo code follows for the main method:

       //create a prompter object

       // initialize a String story

       // call the method you added to the prompter class to prompt the user to create a new story and assign it to story
       // you have to surround it in a try/catch(IOException e)

       // instantiate a new Template object passing it the story

       // call the prompter run method passing it the template

The main shouldn't throw an exception, try handling it in getTemplate.
