Feature Request: (real) Refresh Track Option

We come here, we learn, we leave.....six months later we come back and.....what was that again? I see a few people asking how to restart tracks and courses and the resounding option is that you can redo them at any time, just click back at the start. Yeah that sort of works. Except on every video you have to reassure the system you want to watch it again, your challenges and quizzes are already done so you cant really test yourself, if you take a break and come back the next day, it has no idea where you left off - since you already finished it last year, etc, etc, etc. It takes longer to redo the track than to do it the first time this way.

I would love to see a real "Redo/Refresh this Track" option. In my mind, this would keep the points etc you made, but reset all of the videos and quizzes back to "not started." Watch the videos, do the quizzes, compare with your old score (not overwrite) to show your progress.
This could be a "refresh" for ones completed, and/or a "redo" for ones that have not been completed or watched in a long time. This might also include some kind of reminder notification or something for subjects- "Hey, its been 6 months since you did any php tutorials, take this quiz to see if you need a refresher." "Hi, welcome back to this Ruby on Rails track. It has been 4 months since you were last in this track, would you like to start at the beginning to refresh your knowledge?"

k. Daydreaming over. Back to my triple video clicking to "refresh" this track......

This is a popular request, and was scheduled at one time; but the last I heard development on it was tabled.

However, if I understand correctly, you can make a request to Support and they can reset it for you.

Thanks Steven. I appreciate your reply, and I saw that was an option - to wipe out and redo the track, remove all points, etc. However, the point remains that I think a simple user refresh/redo should be a feature within the system without having to contact support, or wipe out points/progress.

I agree, and hopefully they'll be able to put it back on the development schedule at some point. In the meantime, you can also contact Suport to make suggestions directly to the staff.
