2,074 PointsFeedback method not working
I don't know where I am going wrong with this code. I can get it to work in the console but not in the challenge.
class Student:
name = "Your Name"
grade = 50
def praise(self):
return "You inspire me, {}".format(self.name)
def reassurance(self):
return "Chin up, {}. You'll get it next time!".format(self.name)
def feedback(self, grade):
if self.grade > 50:
return self.praise
else:
return self.reassurance

231,248 PointsYou're right that when you reference a parameter, you don't use "self.
" as a prefix.
But you also need to put parentheses after any method name when you call it (like "return self.praise()
").

2,074 PointsI figured it out, after an hour... self.grade should just be grade and I don't need to define grade in the class.
