Find the len of the provided student_gpas list and assign it to a variable called length.

Hey Everyone,

I am able to run the below code in a repl, but having issues submitting via the Challenge. Am I assigning the length correctly?

len_min_max.py
student_gpas = [4.0, 2.3, 3.5, 3.7, 3.9, 2.8, 1.5, 4.0]

len(student_gpas)

length = student_gpas

print(student_gpas)

The method 'len()' doesn't change its object, it simply returns the object's length. With that being said, this is the correct code:

student_gpas = [4.0, 2.3, 3.5, 3.7, 3.9, 2.8, 1.5, 4.0]
length = len(student_gpas)

You found the length correctly. But you need to assign that to variable length. You are currently just assigning the list itself.

Hey Kris,

I thought thats what its asking? To assign it the output value?

Still new sorry

Yes. Assign len(student_gpas) to variable length
