here are the directions Now replace <YOUR NAME> in the console.printf expression with the firstName variable using the string formatter.

and here is my code firstName = "Boog"; console.printf ("%s can code in Java", firstName);

I just can't see what I could be doing wrong.

Name.java
// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console

Now replace <YOUR NAME> in the console.printf expression with the firstName variable using the string formatter.

firstName = "Boog";
console.printf ("%s can code in Java", firstName);

Try this.... spacing is important Happy Coding :)

String firstName = "Boog"; console.printf("%s can code in Java!", firstName);
