Hi, All. Here's a video which explains this in much greater detail. I was somewhat confused about the structure of SQLAlchemy and why we did what we did, and this video answered all those questions. It is defiantly not a beginner video, but I could follow along, and bookmarked it for later review.
It is by Mike Bayer, the creator of SQLAlchemy. He does a new one each year. This one is for 2021. It looks like there are changes coming, so if you are reading far in the future, make sure to search for the new one.
