For Introduction to Spring course, there is recommendation to learn Java Web dev with SPARK... is that really helpful?

For Introduction to Spring course, there is recommendation to learn Java Web dev with SPARK... I wonder if it is really necessary. ... my understanding is that most users prefer either with more people using SPRING... am I wrong?

Man, I’m in the same boat. I’m choosing to skip Spark b/c I don’t see it in most of the jobs I’m applying for. If it comes up, I’ll make the adjustment and learn it but other than that I’m trying to learn the basics and get on w/ my life

I'd say yes, Spark doesn't provide a lot of the extra helper magic that Spring annotations will, so it's easier to see what's going on in Spark than in Spring. That said, if you're coming into Spring with a strong understanding of other web technologies, then you don't need the Spark course.
