Java Java Objects Delivering the MVP Forum

It's popping this error message up : Bummer! Are you sure you used the arguments passed in from the main method in Main.java? args[0] is the firstName and args[1] should be the last name. I filled in the arguments so I don't get what the problem is.

Yes this is fairly confusing but you need to use args[0], args[1] for the parameters of the User constructor. I'd say the array args and what it contains should really be specified by the exercise.

basically the args array represents the user input. They want you to create a new user with the user input so it will change depending on what the user inputs.

Thanks I get what you're saying. They want me to put args[0] and args [1] for the first and last argument. Thank you.

I'm on the same problem and i'm not understand. Can you show code.

My problem was that instead of putting:

User author = new User("Jamie", "Phillips");

I should put

User author = new User(args[0], args[1]);

This references whatever String arguments are put in to the constructor User.
